Pumpkin spiced glazed donuts

I found this recipe on Pinterest. Of course. It made delicious donuts.
Pillsbury Grands Pumpkin Doughnuts
I used the Pillsbury flakey layers jr biscuits. The glaze in the recipe was too thick, like a ball. So I added 1/3 cup of milk and it made it perfect. Plus now I have some left over for later. Oh, and the 4 cups of powdered surge r is a whole box of regular sized powders sugar.

I flattened my biscuits out which helped and made them perfect. Then I used a tall shot glass that I had sprayed with non-stick spray to cut out the holes, which I also fried and glazed.

I found that frying the donuts until they were LIGHT golden brown made them perfect. If you get them until they're a slightly darker golden brown it makes them more like crullers.

Then after I glazed them I left them to dry a bit on a cooking rack that I had set up over a cookie sheet that had wax paper on is so the drippings would fall on the paper and not the cookie sheet.

Adding buttons

If you're wondering how I added the Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Pintrest buttons I found a how-to page that explained how to do it all and provided the code!
Here is the website that I got the code from.

VootBeer

I made a Root Beer cocktail by splitting a 50ml bottle of Absolut Vanilla vodka and bottle of A&W Root beer between my mom and I. It was a nice smooth, sweet drink.

Missing photos

I just realized a lot of my photos are missing from my blog. So, once I find them on my old computer I will update those blogs.

Vegetarian crock-pot recipes

It's very hard to find a list of vegetarian crock-pot recipes. So, I thought I'd give it a go. I want to make a list of vegetarian crock-pot meals. Once I have made a pretty good list on here, and I will continue to update it as I find more vegetarian recipes, I want to take regular crock-pot recipes and try to alter them using veggie crumbles, chick'n strips, veggie dogs, and the like. If a recipe called for chicken broth I did NOT include it in my list. However, when I remake some recipes that call for things like that and I replace them I will be making a new list that has the recipes I have made and altered, along with the original links.

Blue Hawaiian

Makes 2 cocktails

2 ounce blue Curaçao

Broccoli cheddar soup

I found this wonderful recipe on pintrest for a yummy broccoli cheddar soup: http://www.mangiodasola.com/2009/11/broccoli-cheddar-soup.html

I didn't have enough cheddar so I used a handful, about 1/2 cup of grated cheddar, 8oz of Velveeta, and what I had left of colby Monterey jack cheese which was about 1/4 of a cup.

I also used veggie broth instead of chicken broth.

Peanut butter, marshmallow and chocolate chip sandwich

I have a new sandwich maker that I have fallen in LOVE with!

I decided to make a dessert sandwich.
I took a piece of wheat bread, the kind with seeds in it, and put peanut butter on on side and put the plain bread side down on one side of the grill. I did the same to wonderbread on the other side of the grill. Then I put mini marshmellows and chocolate chips on top of the peanut butter. Next, I put a little bit more peanut butter on the another slice of kind of bread and put the peanut butter side down and closed the grill for about 1-2 minutes, just enought to brown the wonderbread, since you can't tell if the wheat bread is really browning.

It tasted so good!

Pesto grilled cheese

I keep finding "grown up" versions of grilled cheese sandwiches. I love grilled cheese, but I LOVE the grown up versions I am finding now and I want to try them all.

I found this pesto grilled cheese sandwich and I had to try it!
http://www.closetcooking.com/2010/05/spinach-pesto-grilled-cheese-sandwich.html?m=1

I used slices of gruyere cheese and put the pesto between the slices. I also didn't have spinach pesto, so I just used whatever green pesto I had. Lol

OMG it tasted so good! Definitely one I'd recommend.

Spinach Saag

I made Spinach Saag for dinner tonight from this recipe:
http://lola-elise.com/recipes/spinach-saag

I didn't have fresh ginger so I used a few "dashes," as my grandmother would say, of ground ginger powder instead.
I also didn't have coriander so I just left it out.

My take on "Chicken" roll ups

I got the recipe from here: http://jennasjourneyblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/chicken-roll-ups.html
I used veggie "chicken" strips and cooked them in a skillet and then cut them into little pieces with kitchen scissors. The regular cresent rolls weren't enough, so I had to use half of a french loaf dough for the rest. It was amazing though!
